The legal stuff that I have revised due to the GDPR regulations that came in to effect on 25th May 2018.

I am a one person operated craft maker,and supplier I am the manufacturer,the quality control manager,  the product manager, sales team and now I have also been promoted to Data protection officer..

When handling your data at handcraftedpen.co.uk will:

 Make sure you know why we need this information

 only ask for information that I need

 Ensure only those appropriate have access to it

 Store your information securely

 No data I keep will be shared with a third party

 I won’t ask you to agree to sharing your information where you have a choice because I don’t share it with anyone.

 I will only keep your information for as long as I need to (Order processing and warranty)

 If at any time you want me to clear all data and information I hold then please get in touch and I will dispose of it appropriately.

Handcrafted Pen Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how the Hancrafted Pen uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this website.handcraftedpen.co.uk is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should I ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. handcraftedpen may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

Order placing.

When placing an order you will be requested to accept that you agree to me keeping your data as set out in this privacy policy.

What I collect

I will need to collect the following information: Especially when placing an order with me.

name

contact information including email address

demographic information such as postcode.  Essential if you want your purchase to arrive at the right address.

What I do with the information I gather

I require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

Internal record keeping.

I will not send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information and ensure that is is kept secure.

Security

I am committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, I have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information I collect online.

How I use cookies? I don’t, it’s as simple as that.

For your information though

(A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.)

However I don’t use one. You may have noticed that you did not get asked to give permission for my site to use one so I don’t interfere with your privacy. Simple.

However what I do use is traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used / visited. This helps me analyse data about web page traffic and improve my website in order to tailor it to customer needs. I only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.

My website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that I do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, I cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

Controlling your personal information

I will not ask to use your information to pass on to a third party or use it for any such purpose.

You may request details of personal information which I hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee may be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please e mail me on eamonn@handcraftedpens.co.uk

If you believe that any information I are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email me as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

Its as simple as that.

Refund Policy

I aim to despatch orders paid by credit/debit card or PayPal within 3 working days of receiving your payment.

Payment by Cheque or postal order will be dispatched within 3 working days once the funds have been cleared.

In the event that an item you order is out of stock, I will contact you by email or by phone as soon as possible after placing the order.

Once you have received the product purchased and you not happy with it in any way then you have the legal right to cancel your order within 7 days of receiving the goods. If you wish to cancel using this right, you can have a full no quibble refund on the goods purchased.

Items must be returned within 14 Days of receipt, you must obtain a Returns Number from handcraftedpen.co.uk prior to returning the goods purchased.

A full refund will be issued after I have received the items as dispatched and in un-used condition, complete in the security sealed plastic wallet.

Unfortunately the postage paid is non refundable and you will need to return the items back to me at your cost.

Specially commissioned items are " made to order " and as such will not be subject to the no quibble refund offer. However I will always do my best to ensure that you are entirely satisfied with my products and endeavour to rectify any issues related to my products.

You can be rest assured I will do my utmost to resolve your problem.

International buyers will be subject to the same policy and must ensure that you follow the returns policy that you have received with your order, failure to do so may be a breach of my guarantee offer and may result in no refunds being applied.

Post and packing (Shipping)

The postage charge varies depending on the size of packaging and Where you are in the world.

The shop Shipping costs are based on UK Only, parts of the highlands and certain parts of the UK may have a supplement added, that will be done after ordering and I will e-mail you to confirm that.

International shipping will be charged separately and will e-mail you with the cost once I know where it is being posted too.

At checkout everyone will be charged a standard fee, however it may need topping up depending on where it is sent, I don’t make any money out of postage and I will only charge what it cost me to post and pack your items.
